What’s Scary About What You’re Wearing?
Monday, October 30th, 2:00-5:30 p.m.
Come to Case Center so Compassion for All can tell you about all the atrocities attached to what you drape your body in. Forever 21 is cute and all, but their ethics are fucked. Urban Outfitters does some ridiculously stupid, insensitive shit for publicity. And H&M wants everyone dead.
It’s probably going to be a total downer, but there’s going to be free Halloween snacks, so I say go for it!
Mawlid Al-Nabi Dinner
Wednesday, November 1st, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Mawlid Al-Nabi celebrates the Islamic prophet Muhammed’s birthday, and the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life is hosting a dinner on the 2nd floor of dining hall for it. If for some reason you’re not Muslim, then fuck off, don’t even think about coming.
Just kidding, everybody’s welcome! It’s gonna be a great time with great food and a learning experience for all you ignorants.
SkidBeWell: Free Massages
Friday, November 3rd, 2:00-4:00
The Peer Health Educators are bringing in three excellent licensed massage therapists to touch your body. Come by Wilson Chapel to get your gross, stringy, stressed muscles a rubbing. There’s nothing quite like having other people touch you when you’re over everything and feel like your incapable of everything!
If you’re interested, then too fucking late—sign up was on October 27th. Hopefully missing out on something that could’ve been really therapeutic doesn’t stress you out more!
Cafe Con Leche
Friday, November 3rd, 8:00-11:30 p.m.
So, Raices is a little late to the Halloween party, but this Friday, they’re filling the cafeteria with leeches! It’s going to be nuts.
Here are the rules: show up to spa wearing your costume and avoid those sucking little bastards. Try to make it out alive. Get caught by one of the leeches and you lose.
There will also be performances and refreshments. But these things will only be distractions. Seriously, don’t get caught by the leeches.
Knitting Workshop for Beginners and Experts Alike
Sunday, November 5th, 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Skidmore’s Knit Wits is hosting their first knitting workshop this semester (I think) in Palamountain 304! All are welcome: if you’ve never knitted before or if you’re favorite place is the rocking chair in the living room while watching Golden Girls, it’s all the same.
Come learn to do something that will make your binge Netflix watching slightly more productive!
